These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access and use of Parrot Chat ("the Service"). By using the Service, you agree to these Terms.
1. Eligibility
You must meet the minimum legal age in your jurisdiction to use the Service.
2. Wallet-Based Access
The Service authenticates users through an automatically generated wallet. You are solely responsible for:
- managing your wallet
- safeguarding your private key and mnemonic phrase
We:
- never request your wallet secrets
- do not store, restore, recover, or reset any wallet
- are not liable for loss or compromise of wallet secrets
3. User Responsibilities
You must not:
- violate laws or regulations
- disrupt or interfere with the Service
- impersonate others
- engage in harmful or fraudulent activity
- attempt unauthorized access
4. User Content
Users may transmit or upload text, images, videos, and other materials. You are solely responsible for your content. We do not pre-screen content but may remove content for legal or safety reasons.
5. Prohibited Content
You may not upload or share content that:
- is unlawful, harmful, abusive, or discriminatory
- contains sexual or exploitative material involving minors
- infringes on any rights
- includes spam, scams, or malware
- is otherwise harmful to the Service
6. Reporting Tools
The Service provides reporting and blocking features. We may, at our discretion:
- review reported content
- restrict or suspend accounts
- remove violating content
We do not guarantee review or resolution.
7. Content Handling & Removal
We may remove or restrict content that violates these Terms or applicable laws. We may disclose content when required by law. We have no obligation to store or back up content.
8. Account Deletion & Termination
Users may delete their accounts at any time. Upon deletion:
- server-side data is removed
- wallet secrets on your device cannot be recovered
- delivered messages may remain for recipients
We may suspend or terminate accounts for violations or security concerns.
9. Intellectual Property
All rights in the Service remain with the Company. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive license to use the Service per these Terms.
10. Service Availability
The Service may change or be discontinued at any time without notice. We do not guarantee uptime or uninterrupted access.
11. Disclaimers
The Service is provided "AS IS" and "AS AVAILABLE." We disclaim all warranties, including:
- accuracy
- reliability
- non-infringement
- suitability
We do not guarantee:
- successful message delivery
- long-term storage
- compatibility with devices or networks
12. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law:
- We are not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages
- We are not liable for wallet loss, private keys, mnemonic phrases, or digital assets
- Our total liability will not exceed the amount paid in the previous 12 months
13. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify and hold the Company harmless from claims arising from:
- your content
- your violations
- misuse of the Service
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction where the Company is incorporated.
15. Changes to Terms
We may update these Terms periodically. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
